Matrex client/server

There has always been problems for a team to work on the same spreadsheet.
Matrex gives a solution to this problem giving the possibility (optional) to use a server (Matrex Server) to work together on the same project (Matrex equivalent of a spreadsheet) in the LAN.
Working together means:

• Everyone sees the same content of the project, always updated with the last changes.
• When a user changes any part of the project, everyone sees the changes he does.
• Simultaneous changes of the same part of the project are handled in a consistent way, so that the result of the changes is always predictable.
• Calculations are done on the server.

The fact that the calculations are done on the server, is another potential reason to work with servers: the local CPU can be used for something else.


Working with a server is an opportunity but is not necessary. With Matrex you can work with local projects on your own PC, without connecting to any server.
